POS+ was created by serial founders with software and fintech backgrounds.After building embedded payments (i.e. payfacs) for some of the largest software companies on the planet, we observed that the convenience of embedded payments was quickly eclipsed by the control that software companies exerted over their customers.These customers now find themselves living under an asymmetric power dynamic: swallow the pain of moving software vendors, or pray that their software vendor leaves enough crumbs that the customer might be profitable.These dynamics have only been exacerbated by the free money bonanza of the past decade, where verticalized software companies acquired entire markets with limitless capital, resulting in few viable alternatives.POS+ views itself as the free market force against the monopolization of embedded payments.
